We specialise in the supply of all types of operatives and drivers. We have tried and tested systems in place to attract, screen and prepare a wide range of candidates to work at your facilities.
Our services range from remote supply to a full on-site service which then becomes an in-sourced recruitment function working alongside your salaried staff, but operated by us. We also operate a standby pool policy whereby if someone doesn't turn up for work, we will have that position covered in a very short space of time.
All candidates will be sourced from within the local area to the site where they will work. Our experience shows this works more effectively and has proved to deliver more reliable and consistent productivity.
Case Example - we have successfully supplied up to 260 temporary warehouse workers on one site as a sole supplier over a 18 month project to move 14.2 million documents to a warehouse facility in the Midlands. Throughout this project, we managed the contract with 2 on-site consultants. All workers had to be security cleared and vetted to the Ministry of Defence standards.
We used reward and recognition policies throughout the contract to assist in the management and motivation of workers. This worked extremely well and resulted in a stable workforce and high productivity.
Some examples of the categories of workers which we have supplied are Warehouse Operatives, Bar Code Scanner Operatives, Pallet Wrappers, Pump Truck Operators, Hand Fulfilment Operatives, all types of Supervisors, All types of Fork Lift Drivers, Cleaners, LGV Drivers, HGV Drivers, 7.5T and multi-drop drivers, van drivers, Chauffeurs.
We also supply, senior level Supervisors, Production Managers, Warehouse Managers, Logistics Managers, Operations Managers and all other supply chain related roles.
For all workers supplied, we will check candidate identity, proof of their right to work in the UK and proof of their address. Where possible we will apply online tests to check, skills, knowledge and experience as a future predictor of performance in the job. We could also apply manual dexterity tests to check eye and hand co-ordination to match or exceed those required for the job.
If you have a company specific test which you would like us to conduct on your behalf as a benchmark standard, then we could also do that for you.
We believe that all workers supplied through Peter Knight Recruitment Ltd should be well presented and have a clean appearance. Our standards include the wearing of a Polo style shirt and no holes in jeans or trousers. The ultimate test is, would you be comfortable and fully happy if your client saw our temporary worker's presentation and appearance?
As a quality control check we will also take up 2 references from the last 3 years work history and seek reasons for gaps in employment.
